Briksdal Glacier

Visit Briksdal Glacier largest European Glacier set amongst roaring waterfalls and high peaks.

If you wish to understand the creation of the fjords, you should actually walk to the Briksdal Glacier. This branch of the mighty Jostedal glacier proves how the forces of nature mould the landscape. It’s a reasonable hike to the glacier tongue, but the views all along the way make up for all the effort.  The mass of ice is part of the Jostedal Glacier National Park and if you are lucky enough you might even see the glacier spit out a ‘pup’.
